Charting the course for progress.
My Statement
As your incumbent City Councilmember, I respectfully ask for your vote to continue serving the City of Pittsburg. As a longtime resident deeply involved in our community, city development, and local government, I remain committed to building a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Pittsburg for future generations. During my time on the City Council, I have worked to maintain fiscal responsibility through balanced budgets, attract new businesses that create local jobs, and support investments that strengthen our community. I have partnered with our Police Department, schools, nonprofits, and community organizations to enhance public safety, improve quality of life, and expand opportunities for residents. I remain committed to supporting local labor, green growth, and services for youth, seniors, and veterans. My experience includes serving as former Chair of the Planning Commission, a union UFCW Local 5 member and shop steward for 36 years, Board Member of the Sierra Club Delta Group, current Chair of the East Contra Costa County Habitat Conservancy, Board Member of MCE, and member of the Green Empowerment Zone Governing Board. These leadership roles have prepared me to make responsible decisions that balance economic opportunity, environmental stewardship, and sound financial management. Together, we have made meaningful progress, and I am committed to continuing Pittsburg's positive momentum while preserving the values that make our city a wonderful place to live, work, play, and raise a family. I would be honored to earn your vote.
